My 5-year old son has Cerebral Palsy --- what options do I have?

We (my wife and I) have already received an IEP through my son's school and he is receiving the following services in kindergarten:

  • Occupational therapy (50 mins a week)
  • Adaptive PE (30 mins a week)
  • In-room aide who helps him with his writing during workshop (1 hour each day)

However, he needs much more intense physical and occupational therapy as well as therapy for sensory integration disorder.  We have been paying out-of-pocket for Easter Seals (1 day a iweek for an hour is costing us $650/month) and we cannot afford it any longer.  Regional services (like Alta) have denied us service because our son's disability is not considered severe enough.

Does anyone know of any grants or programs or other ways to get the services he needs?   Thank you for taking the time to read this and offer me your guidance.
